Farewell to Dr Martin Taylor

The MEFGL were sorry to see the departure of Dr Martin Taylor from the group, to pursue a Senior Lectureship in the University of East Anglia and wish him the best of luck. Nevertheless, we are also delighted to officially welcome two new molecular ecologists to the Department, Dr Mark de Bruyn and Dr Michael Knapp. Mark will join the faculty, following a Marie Curie Fellowship and NERC postdoctoral position within the MEFGL and Michael joins us from the University of Otago, New Zealand. Both Mark and Michael have comprehensive research experience in the field of molecular ecology and both have specialised in the analysis of ancient DNA and biodiversity, further augmenting existing expertise within these areas. It's an exciting time!
